Cookie

The Union française BJOP would like to save cookies in your computer.
A cookie is a small text file which is saved to your computer’s hard drive unless you want to delete it or it expires. A cookie is not a programme and cannot damage any data on your computer. A cookie cannot be used by us to identify you.

In general terms, cookies saved via the joailleriedefrance.fr website have one of the following functions:
- The first is to “maintain the state of an application”, meaning that each time you return to the website, you browse it using the configuration you initially chose. This function is used with the language cookie. This cookie is a permanent cookie that saves the default browsing language for the joailleriedefrance.fr website you chose when you first visited the website. When you connect to the website at a later time, by default you will browse the website in the language you chose during your initial visit, even though you can visit all the existing language choices for the joailleriedefrance.fr website (using the dropdown menu at the bottom of each of the website’s pages).

- The second function is to follow your movement around the website.

The cookie saves data in your computer about how you browse our website (the pages visited, the date and time of the visit, the type of browser you use, etc.). This information enables us to compile statistical reports about website visitors. With this cookie no identifiable personal data is saved.
You will be informed when you receive cookies or you can cancel cookies by changing your browser settings. You can also delete cookies that have already been saved.

If you consider cookies as an intrusion into your private life, set your browser to receive warnings about cookies or to refuse them and delete those already saved on your computer.

Remember that increasing numbers of websites use cookies to facilitate and improve your navigation on the sites themselves. They do not save any personal data pertaining to you; they merely enhance the functions and services offered by these websites. Many are so-called temporary cookies that expire when you shut down your browser. We recommend not setting your browser to receive warnings about cookies as you will receive too many warning messages. Furthermore, we do not recommend altering your browser settings to refuse all cookies and this for the following reason: it could stop your access to some useful and customised information when you visit the websites concerned at a later date.
